The rose garden is really entertaining visitors with this hint of summer weather we are having and the added sculpture event is delighting everyone too. With quaint rose gardens off-leash areas for dogs beautiful pond nice bush walk with a supposed waterfall - its just a trickle really African straw hut structures to sit under kids garden and cafe attached to the information centre its a fun occasion for the whole family. Plants grown in the right conditions will be healthier less prone to disease and require less care and hopefully no spraying.

If you have children then we do recommend a visit to the Potter Childrens Garden within the Botanic Gardens and as adults we enjoy visiting them too.

All dog litter must be collected and disposed of appropriately. The northwestern area of the park is an off-leash area which includes a big green swimmin hole. The gardens are dog friendly and dogs are on a lead however if you or your child is not a dog person then it could be overwhelming.

Your dog will love the grey water the grey trees and a view of the grey Auckland skyline. Needless to say this was the main focus of mine and Nikkis visit.
